Working Title Custodian of Public Records
Position Grade 14
Position Summary Coordinates, facilitates, and completes the highvolume of record requests submitted to the University pursuant to the NewMexico Inspection of Public Records Act (IPRA). Serves as the primary point ofcontact regarding public records and provides guidance and expertise toUniversity constituents in support of compliance to the law and fulfillment ofrequests. Monitors incoming requests, identifies appropriate sources ofinformation, redacts confidential information in line with appropriate state orfederal law, and oversees the submission of responses. Supervises, manages, anddelegates duties to staff.

Conditions of Employment
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Paralegal or Legal experience with government organizations or public entities, with an understanding of public record keeping and inspection law.
  • Prior experience as department head or manager with ability to carry out administrative functions.

Pay $4,088.93 minimum to $5,928.00 mid-point (monthly)
