About this opportunity:

Albion Staffing Solutions is looking for 2 Customer Service Ocean Rep. to work at a company located in the Carson, CA area. Responsible for all rating of ocean freight, price quotations, documentation, system entry, and customer service for ocean freight activity. Assist with training of new agents.

Principal Accountabilities (The following is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. It is not an exhaustive list of all expectations.):

• Prepare ocean Bills of Lading and related documentation
• Resolve issues with ocean Bills of Lading and related documentation
• Communicate with and train stations on documentation requirements
• Arranges all phases of ocean freight transport
• Assist in negotiating ocean handling rates for customers. Establish rates with NVOOC Service, trucking, and SS lines
• Follow up with customers to resolve inquiries; provide effective customer service throughout all phases of freight transport
• Advise overseas offices of shipments; facilitate flow of paperwork to appropriate locations
• Prepare accounts payable sheets and submit for payment
• Invoice brokerage on ocean exports and maintain export files The individual in this position must be capable of performing all of the essential functions with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Knowledge and Skills (The following minimum requirements are normal guidelines and should not constrain the advancement of otherwise qualified personnel):

• This is a senior level position.
• Good interpersonal skills required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Generally, prefer 3-6 years of experience.
