Position Description

The Town of Marana is seeking a Customer Service Representative to work in the Finance Department assisting in the reception and payment center. This is a full-time position and an exciting opportunity for someone interested in providing excellent customer service and administrative support to the department, general public and staff.

Salary Range: $15.30 - $22.19 (placement within the salary range is dependent on direct experience, internal equity and/or budget)

Examples of Duties

  • Requires excellent communication and customer service skills and the ability to interact professionally with the public
  • Provides day to day customer service; answers and directs phone calls
  • Provides service and direction to the general public, employees and visitors
  • Provides administrative support; maintains and updates calendars; orders office supplies; files, copies, faxes, emails scans documents and distributes incoming/outgoing mail
  • Processes payments in multiple software platforms
  • Manages and balances cash drawers to include cash handling, and maintains security of cash box
Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalency plus six months of additional education or training
  • Over one year experience performing customer service and clerical duties within an office environment
  • Over one year experience cashiering
  • Proficiency with MS Word/Excel and payment/accounting software programs
  • Must be an Arizona Notary Public or must obtain within 3 months of hire.
An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that provides the desired knowledge, skills & abilities to successfully perform essential functions maybe considered.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bilingual in speaking English and Spanish
  • Experience with multi-line phones
