Pay

The starting salary for this role is estimated to be between $122,800 and $157,200. Base pay, however, will be determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, applicable skills, work experience, education, business needs, and market demands. This job is not bonus eligible.

Work Location/Other

This is a remote-based position, working from a home office within the U.S.

Job Purpose

Promotes a high performing business environment by managing security functions. Solves business problems and directs teams in security design, operations, and execution of large scale technology projects.

Essential Job Results

Promotes a high performing business environment by managing technology solutions in security design and operations. Motivates and develops staff by assessing strengths and weaknesses and providing appropriate developmental and training opportunities. Implements successful hiring and retention practices. Ensures projects are aligned with department standards by reviewing functional plans based on acceptance criteria and cost justification. Approves proposed project plans and designs. Recommends course corrections to meet changing requirements. Ensures projects are completed according to defined success criteria by directing and overseeing teams in the design, implementation, and operations of large-scale initiatives. Reviews project plans for alignment with departmental standards, feasibility and integration with other projects. Ensures delivery of reliable high performance solutions and technical services. Creates functional policies, standards and procedures. Confers with and advises functional team on technical problems, priorities and methods. Manages technology by developing departmental technology plan. Proposes, and negotiates technology solutions in accordance with Company goals and functional guidelines. Customizes and implements industry-standard best practices and develops Company best practices. Manages vendor relationships by reviewing progress and evaluating and measuring performance. Meets financial objectives by overseeing and managing costs and resources. Protects the Company by handling business sensitive information with appropriate confidentiality and leading security incident response planning and execution. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, including PCI-DSS 4.0, by implementing robust security controls and conducting regular assessments.

Experience

Minimum 8 years related security or system architecture experience, including management level assignments.

Proven track record of managing end-to-end security in large-scale projects or complex environments.

Experience with full system development life cycle methodologies and their application in business solutions.

Education

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Significant experience with full system development life cycle methods for generating business software solutions.

Skills

Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Financial / budgeting acumen.

Ability to resolve divergent interests and make quick, effective decisions.

Ability to develop in-depth understanding of assigned departments operations, contracts and accounting.

Familiarity with standards and frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and risk assessment methodologies preferred.
