Tribal Driving Permit Required: YesDISTINGUSIHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS:The Data Analyst will be primarily responsible for ensuring statistics and other data coming into the Office of the
Community Manager from departmental or community sources is accurate, quality, and in an approved format.
The Data Analyst will be part of coordinating a data warehouse to increase data sharing between departments.
Secondarily the Data Analyst will be responsible for gathering data, preparing visualizations and reports for
relevant stakeholders, and be instrumental in ensuring the correct data is gathered to inform the indicators
developed through the community planning project.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Develops and maintains a systematic process for collecting, analyzing and reporting community indicator data
and related information using both qualitative and quantitative methods.Performs descriptive statistical analyses and makes statistical inferences (e. g. tests of statistical significance).
Responds to ad-hoc data requests and provides technical support to the Gila River Indian Community
leadership.Develops engaging data products using visualizations and storytelling methods to create community profiles,
data summaries, presentations, dashboards and reports that are culturally and linguistically appropriate and/or
tailored to the intended audience.Employs methods for engaging affected individuals/residents in data collection, analysis and reporting
activities where appropriate.Works with other data experts across the Gila River Indian Community to identify strategies for optimal use
of unexplored data and data visualization.Works to expand data capacity skills in the Gila River Indian Community Departments.Performs monthly and annual reviews and analyses using operational metrics and reports.Perform other related duties as assigned.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILL AND ABILITY:Ability to make decisions concerning the interpretation of data, plan of work, or refinement of methods in
managing cross-division projects and deliverables.
0 Knowledge of data management, data documentation (e.g. metadata, technical notes, etc.) and data integrity
maintenance.
0 Knowledge of producing data products, translating technical information into easy-to-understand formats (e. g.
dashboards or other visualization tools/techniques).

closely related field and two (2) years experience in data analysis and reporting, business data management,
data collection, report design and presentation, or closely related experience; Or

- Associates degree from an accredited college or university in Statistics, Economics, Information Systems, or
closely related ?eld and four (4) years experience in data analysis and reporting, business data management,
data collection, report design and presentation, or closely related experience; Or0 High School diploma or GED and six (6) years experience in data analysis and reporting, business data
management, data collection, report design and presentation, or closely related experience.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT:
Required to obtain a Tribal Operators permit. Valid state drivers license with a current proof of driving record
for the past 39 months will be required to qualify for a tribal driving permit. Proof of driving record must be
submitted with application and must not be more than 60 days old from the date of submission of the
