Job Description Summary
We are on a mission to evolve how we use data at NewRez to grow our business and fulfill the needs of our customers. We are modernizing our data and integration platform to be best in class. In this role you will be responsible for implementing modern architecture and engineering design patterns in a range of technologies, considering both technical and economic perspectives. You will partner with technical and business stakeholders to implement solutions balancing current and legacy technical standards, while keeping an eye towards scalability and resilience. We are looking for someone who can design, code and execute in both cloud and on prem environments - while evangelizing the opportunities of good engineering design, modern integration architectures and data as a service.

Responsibilities:
- The primary responsibility of this role is to design, develop, document and support processing data generated by our internal distributed systems and 3rd parties that improve our analytics capability and help make key business decisions.
- Partner with Architects to create unified processes that are scalable while minimizing cost.
- Ensure successful ongoing operations by developing and implementing processes and procedures yielding high availability and data quality.
- Establish and maintain standards for the team while deploying new technologies and processes
Core Development Stack:
- Languages: SQL (standard and DB-specific)
- Tools/Products: Snaplogic ETL, Snowflake, HVR database replication, SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services), RedGate Developer Toolkit, Tableau, PowerBI
- AWS Infrastructure deployments via Terraform
- Other: Azure DevOps, Lucid Charts, Smartsheet, Octopai, Control-M
What Were Looking For
- 2+ years of engineering / development experience
- Solid grasp of ETL design and large-scale data processing
- Experience with SQL Server 2017 or higher
- 1+ years of experience working in AWS
- Bachelors degree or higher in quantitative/technical field
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong working knowledge of ETL tooling, Python, C#, & SQL/NoSQL
- Strong working knowledge in SQL and databases such as MSSQL/Oracle/Snowflake/Redshift
- Understanding of Windows/Linux-based systems
- Strong technical skills in AWS, GCP, Azure
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with stakeholders
