Job Description Summary

The Database Administrator II will play a vital role in the performance, delivery, stability, scalability and security of the databases we use, while continually driving forward improvements and optimizations at the database layer.

We trust that as a Database Administrator II you will: (responsibilities)

  • Configure and maintain database servers and processes
  • Monitor system's health and performance
  • Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security
  • Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time
  • Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
  • Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement
  • Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours
  • Provide support to Reporting team
  • Load data from APIs
  • Design and develop SQL code, ETL processes and SSRS reports based on provided requirements.?
  • Experience with SQL Server replication
  • Experience with HA/DR technology for MSSQL

About you: (requirements)

  • 5+ years MS SQL Server Administration experience required
  • 3+ years implementing operational automation via scripting (i.e., PowerShell) is required
  • 5+ years successfully working in both Physical and Virtual environments are required
  • 5+ years working in high-transaction environments is required
  • 3+ years managing a data warehouse or data lake database environment
  • Ability to understand large data models
  • Advanced working knowledge of T-SQL is required
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • MCSA, MCSE, certifications a plus
  • This position may require travel to various locations
  • Knowledge of SSIS and SSAS capabilities and usage
  • Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with little supervision.?
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to resolve business issues

FLSA Status: Exempt
