Our client is seeking Day Habilitations Counselors to start immediately in Hanover. Hours are 8:15am to 2:15pm Monday through Friday, and the hourly rate is $16/hr. Compensation is dependent on Contractor's experience, education, availability, and skills.
SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
Day Habilitation Direct Care role is crucial in developing independence, building confidence, and supporting Members towards living a full and meaningful life. The position will support adults 18+ with a variety of disabilities in a Day Habilitation program.
* Implement Members' individual service plans based on needs and goals, and record daily progress
* Support individuals with their ADLs, individualized goals, and accessing the community
* Identify areas of crisis and defuse the situation, ensuring the safety of all concerned
* Teach Members how to manage activities of daily living such as cleaning, cooking, shopping,budgeting, personal hygiene, health care practices, money management, traveling, self-control, and leisure time
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION FOR YOUTH CARE COUNSELOR
* Minimum of one (1) year experience working with DD population
* Must be reliable and dependable with both attendance and care shown to clients
* Ability and willingness to travel to Hanover
* Must possess a valid Driver's License and personal vehicle.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing
* Current CPR, First Aid
