Denial Analyst - SMG Patient Accounting

SUMMARY: This position is accountable for analyzing and implementing operational changes to improve collections and prevent or minimize future payer denials. Accountable to compile data from multiple systems for various meetings with payers and internal departments to improve insurance collections. Serves to provide consult and education to all of Revenue Cycle to assist in improving payer collections. Assists Patient Accounting Team and organization in maintaining high standards of revenue integrity through providing appropriate claim information and receiving appropriate payments for services.

REQUIREMENTS; This position requires a High School Diploma or GED as well as minimum two (2) years experience in either obtaining medical insurance/government authorization or medical insurance/government billing. Registration experience in physician practice, clinic/hospital care setting is preferred.

POSITION DETAILS: Full time, 80 hours per pay period. Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.
