POSITION SUMMARY:
Are you interested in joining an innovative team that serves in a critical role for the Arizona Judiciary? The Consolidated Collections Unit (CCU) of the Court Services Division is seeking a candidate with innovation and leadership to supervise a team of highly skilled professionals.

Under the direction of the Unit Manager, the Deputy Operations Manager oversees the day-to-day operations and supervises staff responsible for the support of business processing, policy, and automation functionality for the Fines, Fees and Restitution Enforcement (FARE) and Debt Setoff (DSO) Programs. This position meets the goals and objectives of the unit by providing support and collaborative direction to staff, Arizona courts, and outside entities.

The Deputy Operations Manager is also responsible for the direction and development of statewide training, unit business processes and procedures, communication protocols, and issue resolution. This position works closely with the Unit Manager to promote personnel growth and development, recruit and hire staff, review and enforce policies, assess performance, and perform corrective actions. The position is also required to develop and maintain personnel training to ensure staff are educated on operational functions, ensure process and procedure efficiencies, measure program and staff workload performance, deliver high quality outputs, and promote exceptional customer service.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires a Bachelors degree in public administration, criminal justice, social science or a related field and five years of related experience, including supervisory experience or the equivalent. Directly related experience may substitute for the degree requirement. This position requires the ability to function and make decisions independently and demonstrated ability to plan, organize, prioritize workload, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. In addition, this position requires excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills to work effectively with internal staff, state court staff, judges, and local government officials; experience in problem solving, to include the ability to focus on the specific elements of a problem while maintaining a broader perspective of the needs of the court system in its entirety. Also, this position requires the ability to research statutes, rules and administrative orders to ensure program participants are in compliance with these authorities.

The preferred candidate will have knowledge of FARE and DSO general processes, caseflow processes, court operational procedures, and knowledge of the AZTEC and/or AJACS court case management systems, as well as experience in automated systems management from an applications or user perspective. In addition, the preferred candidate will have skill in personnel supervision, delivering oral presentations, high level communication, budget preparation, and fund administration. Additionally, the preferred candidate will be a graduate of the Arizona Court Manager Program (ACM) and/or the Arizona Court Executive Program (ACE).

Travel level: up to 20%.
