Position Description

The Town of Marana is seeking a Development Coordinator to work in the Development Services Department. This is a full-time position and is critical to the day to day operations. This position will process and distribute submittals/permits and track project information.

Expected Hiring Range: $19.12 - $23.42
Salary Range: $19.12 - $27.73

  • placement within the salary range is dependent on direct experience, internal equity and/or budget
Examples of Duties

  • Coordinates the intake and distribution of submittal documents and/or permits; processes the work flow of applications and supporting materials.
  • Provides customers with project and/or permit information, including fees, process, and requirements.
  • Corresponds with and shares information with professionals, home owners, contractors, Town staff, and outside agencies
  • Provides quality customer service through answering phones, responding to emails, and in-person counter interactions.
  • Processes electronic submittals and approvals and provides guidance to customers on how to use the Departments electronic services.
  • Attends pre-application or pre-construction meetings.
  • Responds to public records requests and assists with records retention for the Department.
  • Monitors and maintains project and permit data, as well as electronic and paper files.
  • Monitors application status and ensures review deadlines are met.
  • Generates audit reports relating to plan review, construction, inspection, and other related functions.
Minimum Qualifications

  • Associates degree or equivalent.
  • Over one year of customer service experience in an office environment/professional setting.
  • Ability to pass the Town of Marana background check.
  • Must be an Arizona Notary Public or must obtain within 3 months of hire.
An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that provides the desired knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform essential functions may be considered.

PREFERRED
  • Experience with permitting software
  • Experience with Bluebeam Revu
  • Experience in coordinating projects in an engineering, planning, building, or related field.
