Our programming empowers and assists families in creating and implementing frameworks that lead to improved parent-child relationships, positive parenting practices, optimal child development, family safety, and increased knowledge of and access to community programs and services. Position Summary

Under direct supervision of Co-Executive leadership and in coordination with the Board of Directors (BOD) Development Committee, coordinates all aspects of fundraising events and activities from planning to execution. Works directly with management team to manage project workflow and oversee day to day milestones for projects. Cultivates donors and provides donor correspondence, coordinates fundraising and special events, updates social media and website, pursues funding via grant writing, coordinates volunteers and volunteer activities, coordinates outreach activities and works to develop community partnerships.

Qualifications

The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the position.

Education and/or Experience

Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree preferred in non-profit administration, business administration, communications or a similar field or a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a non-profit organization with fundraising, and project development.   

Skills

  • Comprehensive knowledge of grant writing, donor relations, and special event planning
  • Foster collaborative working environments between donors, staff, community partners and volunteers
  • Familiarity with donor software and proficient with computers including Microsoft Office, WORD, EXCEL, POWER POINT, Adobe Pro.
  • Knowledge of design/layout software eg. Canva, InDesign (or comparable) and photo manipulation software eg. Photoshop
  • Ability to communicate effectively and interact with people across cultures through positive behaviors, attitudes and policies
  • Professional written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Public Speaking
  • Ability to work flexibly under pressure in a fast paced environment

Responsibilities: 

·        Establish Annual Development Plan which includes fundraising, marketing, public relations goals and operating budget

·        Responsible for coordinating agency special events including managing volunteers in order to meet or exceed fundraising goals 

·        Community Outreach and Development Committee coordination; involve staff and encourage participation of Board members in development activities

·        Manage content of the agency’s website and social media with input from team

·        Media correspondence; news releases, represents the agency in public presentations and forums in connection with United Way, Federal and State fundraising campaigns, prepares other materials that tell the story of the agency and provides information to stakeholders and the public

·        Ongoing monitoring and updates to E-Tapestry (Donor database), utilization of Constant Contact, and Classy (Fundraising Platform)

·        Research and identify prospective new donors and proactively initiate sponsorships and funding opportunities

·        Responsible for donor mailing correspondence, special announcements and newsletters

·        Provide development reports to BOD that include updates of current events and fund raising goals

·        Maintain and organize in-kind donations including passing or surplus donations to other organizations

·        Create Annual Report and newsletters in collaboration with Co-Executive Directors and agency Managers

·        Volunteer coordination

·        Pursue funding opportunities via grant writing; engage in program development efforts with managers to understand program goals and needs in congruence with agency goals

·        Coordinate agency tours and community experiences for clients, donors, funding representatives, volunteers and community partners

While performing the duties of this job the employee works in an office environment with a noise level that ranges from moderate to loud, and off site within the community. Employee will occasionally work in environments including detention facilities, jails, and prisons while fulfilling the requirements of the position. Work hours are considered flexible and employees are expected to periodically work evenings and weekends should agency needs require.
