The South Adams County Water & Sanitation District (SACWSD), dedicated to providing reliable, affordable and sustainable water resources and services to its customers in order to protect public health, the environment, and quality of life is seeking a Development Review Supervisor.
This position:
Manages and directs the development review and approval process including application and design review, mapping, construction and testing, as well as inspections.
Oversees development inclusion, easement acquisition and proper dedication of water resources
Oversees plan conformance and design with District specifications, rules & regulations
Confirm as-build drawing submission as well as grant and acceptance of utilities agreements compliance
Assists developers with development/engineering reports and plans
- Participates with the City of Commerce City and Adams County governments development pre-planning meetings, process improvement discussions, and attends other relevant industry meetings to represent the District.
Provides leadership and guidance to the development team
Requirements for the position:
- Bachelors degree in civil engineering or related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience. P.E. certification is a plus.
- Minimum 4 years of related experience in municipal government, public works or private industry development
- Minimum 2 years supervisory/leadership experience
- Proficient computer skills including experience with MS Office 365, specialized mapping software knowledge and Autocad helpful
- Valid, current Colorado Drivers License required
- Solid organizational, communication, customer service and writing skills, with an orientation for details
- Ability to adapt to a changing work environment and shifting priorities

Salary Range: $82,140 - 120,000/annualized
