Digital Graphics Printing Operator

SUMMARY:
Responsible for operating our printing presses, HP Indigo 6900 and 5500. Prepare and print labels for production and in-house Marketing materials. Quality checks on each job, monitor quality and press condition. Color standard match to SKU retains. Follows company policies, adheres to all safety and housekeeping policies. Maintains press efficiency and minimizes waste.
HP Indigo certifications preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sets-up job in accordance with job ticket and product specification documents. Required color adjustments for color standards, staging and production order queuing. includes pre-flighting files, making color adjustments, staging, and queuing.
Maintain schedule and needed supplies.
Operates digital press to produce products in conformance with customer specifications while minimizing waste and maintaining press efficiency.
Requisitions all supplies required to operate the digital press and produce quality digital labels, including inks, cutting dies, coatings, machine supplies, parts, and tools.
Maintains and troubleshoots the press and related equipment.
Responsible for preventative maintenance program; contracting with local HP Service professionals as needed and completing Maintenance Request Forms for equipment needing repairs.
Follows all safety guidelines for proper material handling, machine, and tooling use.
Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
Reports any safety risks to supervisor or safety team representative.
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), required.
Experience operating an Indigo digital press and/or minimum 2 years web and/or offset/flexo experience, required.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret internal and external communications to perform job duties. Effective interpersonal skills needed.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to determine root cause of problem and determine corrective action.
Proficient knowledge of production materials, quality methods, and color standards are necessary.
Excellent mechanical aptitude required.
Able to frequently stand and walk.
Must occasionally be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust FOC.

Compensation: $30.28/hr
