Job Description

The Manager, Digital Strategy will play a key role in defining the strategic priorities for the end-to-end Digital/omni-channel transformation. This role will also be responsible for assessing and providing recommendations on new business opportunities and business development partnerships. This role has a heavy emphasis on framing complex issues, process creation, analytics, finance, and research to support the development and evolution of strategic projects.

WHAT YOULL DO:

Functional

  • Research and prepare competitive and marketplace best practice reviews to help identify opportunities in the business
  • Lead in communicating strategy statuses and communicate findings to the business, including Senior Leadership
  • Partner with cross-functional teams across the business to identify and execute strategic priorities through business planning and performance management
  • Create, manage, and update tools to evaluate new business opportunities
  • Create procedural guidelines to be communicated throughout the business for programs
  • Gather and document program requirements based on business and project needs
  • Define program requirements, identify customer and business needs, measure progress and adjust accordingly
  • Research, assess, and advise on new growth opportunities and partnerships in prioritized business and market areas
  • Manage the cost centre budget for accuracy and staying on budget including overseeing expenses and revising forecasts as needed
  • Accountable for P&L analysis and forecasting on a monthly, quarterly, annually, and ad hoc basis
  • Development of 3-year Strategy documents for the total Digital business and for the sub-areas of the business
  • Act as an advocate for the customer by placing them at the forefront of all decision-making and design processes
  • Proactively identify and anticipate customer expectations and needs
  • Stays up to date on retail and consumer technology to ensure were offering the best experience and solutions for our customers
  • Challenge the status quo by consistently identifying areas for improvement, diagnosing issues and working to resolve them

  • Collaborate with others to drive flexible and iterative solutions, quickly and easily
  • Interact and solicit insights from senior leaders for accuracy of creation, management, and assessment of new business opportunities tool as it pertains to their functional area
  • Share technical knowledge with others and actively seek to learn from those more knowledgeable than yourself
  • Help others see the impacts of their efforts and proactively engage other functions to get input
  • Encourage others to freely share their point of view and be open to feedback

Qualifications

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Bachelors or College Degree required, MBA preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of supporting/developing cross-functional strategic projects
  • Minimum 5 years in data analytics
  • Previous experience in retail
  • Previous experience in eCommerce with marketplace/dropship functionality preferred
  • High attention to detail, exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills; verbal and written
  • Strong Presentation skills
  • High aptitude with analytics and finance
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple project simultaneously and stay organized
  • Self-starter with the ability to flex working independently and in a team setting
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with focus on Excel and Powerpoint
  • Customer centric mindset
  • Prior experience supporting programs through the project lifecycle
  • Proven ability to solve problems
  • Ability to prioritize effectively amongst several competing initiatives
