Our Client is seeking a motivated professional to work as a Direct Support Professional in the Fairfax, Springfield, and Chantilly areas.
SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
* Residential Aide will provide supportive services for children and/or adults currently receiving Transitional Living Services; duties assigned by Coordinator of Community Support Services.
* Document all activities specific to shift or service activity.
* Fill in as assigned for any aide level position in Residential services; duties assigned by the Shift Supervisor.
* Will be required to provide services in a variety of locations (residential shelters, detention, day/community services or child's home)
* Must be prepared to provide direct care as well as supportive services as required.
* Ensures compliance with safe work practices and maintains safe environment in compliance with established agency standards, licensing regulations and generally accepted practices.
* Must be experienced in working with individuals with intellectual disabilities or behavioral issues.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* A minimum of a high school diploma or GED
* CPR & First Aid Certification required.
* Background Check
