Our Client is seeking Direct Care Worker (DCW's) in the New Braunfels area. All shifts are available.
SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF OPPORTUNITY
* Assist Individuals in training activities as specified in their Individual Support Plans (ISP) and activity schedules
* Assist and train Individuals in performing personal care and daily living activities to include but not limited to bathing, dressing and teeth brushing
* Provide supervision to Individuals to ensure that their safety and health care needs are not compromised
* Implement maladaptive behavior reduction program as specified by the behavior support plan, protocol or facility emergency procedures
* Assist and support with transporting individuals on community orientation integration field trips relating to programs, and as needed to other programs or appointments outside the facility
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
* Minimum of a High School Diploma or its equivalent.
* Possession of a valid Drivers License.
* Verifiable experience working with developmentally disabled (preferred)
* Paid training on site for candidates new to IDD field
* Ability to satisfactorily complete background checks and drug screen
