Full Time Work From Home Opportunity
The Director of Application Development and Delivery will lead several application delivery teams supporting a critical legacy application. Additionally, this person is also responsible for transforming our organization to use the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) for delivery our software across Meritain. As a key leader within Meritain IT, this person will help shape and execute organizational delivery, build on our excellent culture, and be a trusted partner to our business executives. The selected candidate will lead an organization of 80 resources that provide application analysis, development, testing, and agile delivery. In partnership with others, implementing a DevSecOps delivery pipeline will also be key.
Other responsibilities include:
Establishes and analyzes staffing requirements to meet deliverables.
Responsible for implementing technical solutions consistent with long-range IT plans and installation standards.
Promotes and directs the reuse of assets across the organization.
Maintains relationships with vendors and professional organizations. May manage the selection, evaluation, contracting, and integration of externally available application software to deliver business system solutions. Selects and builds strong functional teams through formal training, diverse assignments, coaching, mentoring, and other development techniques.
Manages and is responsible for development of IT project cost estimates, benefits, and assessment of potential risks.
Manages budgets, plans and expenses;
Directs and implements strategic direction and policies consistent with the strategic objectives and plans of the business units and the enterprise technology strategy.
Determines and communicates hire, fire, compensation, and performance decisions.
Enforces the utilization of accepted methodology & tools in a disciplined manner.
Required Qualifications
8 years work experience in delivering large scale systems
Direct experience implementing Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in DevSecOps is a plus
SAFe Certification
