Director Case Management

This position is subject to the COVID-19 Vaccination Policy for Steward Health Care Workforce. Exhibits leadership skills that support the Mission, Vision, and Values of the hospital, while focusing on our patients, physicians, staff, and the community's needs. Acts as a liaison with our Hospital Program. Functions across the health care continuum, interfacing with professionals from multiple disciplines to facilitate the best possible outcomes in the most resource-appropriate manner. Develops and maintains statistical information that demonstrates effective fiscal responsibility in allocation of hospital resources. Consistently demonstrates leadership skills that include team building, motivating staff with enthusiasm and compassion, effective communication skills, recruitment of staff, and responsible department budgeting. Appropriately delegates tasks to staff. Minimum Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.Required License/certification: RN License in good standing in the state in which job is performed.(Texas) Minimum of one 5 years experience in case management and in a supervisory management position involving case management/utilization review. Experience must be in an acute care hospital and/or managed care setting. Must possess a thorough working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and managed care utilization review requirements. Must be familiar with federal, state and accreditation standards as they relate to case management and utilization review.
