DIRECTOR COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Albuquerque, NM


As the Director of Community Engagement, you will be responsible for planning, directing and implementing programs to develop public awareness, knowledge, interest and understanding of Hospital services and programs. You will cultivate outreach initiatives to develop, improve, and maintain effective relationships with community stakeholders. You will represent the Hospital in interactions with the community and disseminate information on activities of public interest. You will spearhead methods to identify, assess and measure needs that affect the overall health of communities served. You will conduct local and statewide community health needs assessments; develops and implements survey tools and post-survey analysis. You will coordinate across the health system with appropriate departments on issues pertaining to health equity, social justice, and systemic racism. You will collaborate with staff, leadership, and work with teams to promote community engagement, develop community reports, and implement activities that support and align with the mission and strategic initiatives of the Hospital. In addition, you will be responsible for the promotion of processes and policies that respond to the cultural, racial, and ethic needs of the community we serve.


Qualifications include: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in related discipline; Master's Degree in Business Administration or a healthcare-related discipline is preferred
  • 5 years directly related experience
