THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Director, Freedom Plus Sales (personal loans) will be responsible for the development, performance and tactical management of the Freedom Plus (F+) Sales team ensuring the sales team is meeting sales goals, regulatory requirements, and other efficiency targets in line with the company vision and values.

In addition to driving revenue growth, the core function of the Director is to create a culture that is aligned to our core values of Care, Get Better, Act with Integrity and Collaborate. The Director, F+ Sales collaborates with the Vice President, F+ Sales to establish plans to improve sales, operational efficiencies, and productivity of the individual Loan Consultants (Sales Agents) while directing improvement initiatives. The Director contributes to individual and process development for Managers, Team Leads, and Loan Consultants including training, coaching, and performance feedback.


THE ROLE:

  • Drives an engaging, positive culture led with our core values of Care, Get Better, Act with Integrity, and Collaborate. Creates an environment where feedback is encouraged and everyone has a voice.
  • Owns coaching, development, and performance management of Managers and Team Leads and indirect coaching, development, and performance management of Loan Consultants.
  • Develops new and/or refines existing sales strategies, including an omnichannel outreach strategy to optimize success and growth.
  • Partners with Loan Operations, Product, and Engineering to reduce operational friction within the loan application and processing processes
  • Maintains accurate records of sales and activity reports for each team member.
  • Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes and ensures they are communicated and implemented within the team.
  • Sets the professional standard for the Freedom Plus sales team in areas of integrity, commitment, organizational and selling skills, and work habits.


SKILLS/CHARACTERISTICS

  • 10+ years in a Telesales/Call Center leadership role with a focus on overseeing lending sales teams (auto, home, personal, etc)
  • Demonstrated effective coaching and development skills at all levels within a mid-large sized team.
  • Proven effectiveness as a respected leader who has built highly engaged teams in current and past roles.
  • Working knowledge of loan origination, credit underwriting, and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent collaborative and team-building skills
  • In-depth experience in call center workforce planning, workflow analysis, process mapping, input forecasting, and organizational design
  • Experience overseeing cross-channel contact strategy, including an understanding of the rules and regulations around the use of these channels in a lending sales environment
  • Ability to apply continuous improvement principles to drive efficiency and performance using Agile, Six Sigma, and/or other process excellence tools
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
