Job Description

The incumbent in this position is responsible for the overall leadership, development, organization, management and operation of the Construction Management Department and proposals for the Seminole Tribe of Florida. The incumbent is responsible for the oversight of the construction of Tribal Capital Projects. The individual is responsible for providing technical advice, managing and supervising a team of project managers, technical, professional, paraprofessional and clerical support personnel in the administration of the Capital Improvement Program. The Director assists in the development of priorities, deadlines and project assignments. Prepares and presents proposals to the executive management and the Tribal Council for review and approval. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Building Construction, or a closely related field is required. A Minimum of ten (10) years progressively responsible experience in the design, construction and management of construction projects is required. Current registration as an Architect or Professional Engineer by the State of Florida is required. Prior governmental experience in construction management is highly desirable. Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License is required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
