Position Description
Directs, plans, coordinates and supervises the operation and activities of a specialized unit or small department; develops and implements policies and procedures, administers the budget, organizes tasks and sets priorities. Serves as liaison with university personnel and community at large. Works under general supervision with broad latitude for initiative and independent judgment.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Responsible in leading Texas Tech Physicians in telemedicine strategy and policy development.
  • Collaborate with clinical department management on operational processes specific to digital healthcare delivery.
  • Collaborate with IT to optimize functionality of telehealth delivery platforms
  • Collaborate with appropriate billing/coding and business office personnel to ensure reimbursement is optimized.
  • Assist with overall patient experience initiatives to include reporting and improvement processes
  • Assist patients and visitors with questions and concerns about their experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in telemedicine program strategy, development, and management
  • Experience with direct patient/customer contact dealing with complaints, requests, or concerns
  • Experience collaborating with organizational mid-level management for process improvement and new strategy/process adoption
