Director Materials

This position is subject to the COVID-19 Vaccination Policy for Steward Health Care Workforce. Employees in this position will be required to provide adequate proof of vaccination for COVID-19 by an FDA-approved vaccine prior to starting work. POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the general supervision of the CFO, the Director of Materials Management directs the purchasing function within corporate guidelines, maintains a cost/revenue ratio in accordance with budget, maintains adequate inventory levels, sets re-order points and re-order quantities for all stock items, and has responsibility for storage of supplies as well as distribution of supplies to all departments. Responsible for the print/mail shop.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors degree in business administration or allied field preferred.

Previous experience as purchasing agent/manager in a hospital setting with proven managerial skills preferred.
