Job Description

The Director, Nursing Services (DNS) position supports the operations of an Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) site in NYC. The DNS works to ensure programmatic requirements are met and students are successful and graduate. In this role you will provide leadership to teams of dedicated academic support staff, both administrative and technical. The DNS interfaces with the Greater NYC healthcare community and is highly motivated to secure clinical sites for students. They will have a collaborative peer group of DNSs across the nation, that share best practices, repositories of policies, procedures, and successful strategies.

Location: Queens, New York
Target Hire: Fall 2022
Hybrid model where the students learn both online and onsite.
What You Will Do:
Secure clinical sites for students in the Greater NYC area. Serve as an operational leader at ABSN site. Be onsite daily and serving in any needed capacity. Support simulation specialists, administrative staff and nursing faculty. Work with academic leaders to meet program outcomes. Ensure student compliance with clinical agency requirements.

What You Will Have:
An entrepreneurial mindset that considers creative learning environments (clinical sites) for students. A sense of neutrality in a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders DiSC Profile: Directive and Influential Consultative approach to problem solving, focusing on buy-in and leading thru influence Masters in nursing required. NY RN Licensure Minimum of 7 years nursing practice with demonstrated evidence of accountability for systems-level outcomes (including management of human resources) Minimum of 3 years teaching experience (must include clinical teaching) at the baccalaureate level or higher in nursing. Inclusion of online teaching experience strongly preferred NLN Certification as nurse education (CNE) preferred.
