The Director of Finance will be responsible for the business and fiscal affairs of a multi-site operation, including areas of facilities, business office, information resources, accounting, and contract compliance. Interfaces with corporate and develops and reviews procedures to ensure compliance with foundation policies and licensing/regulatory agency requirements in providing administrative support services. Serves as financial liaison to business partners and affiliated service providers. Serves as standing member of Senior Leadership Team.

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Arizona began providing services in 1967 with the opening of a therapeutic day school in Scottsdale, Arizona. A residential treatment center opened later, and services expanded into Tucson in 1998.

Today, Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Arizona serves more than 4,000 individuals annually, across the state. Programs include Residential Treatment Centers, Day School, Outpatient Services, Prevention Programs, Respite, Short-term Residential Treatment, Adult Foster Care, and Foster Care for children. The Human Rights Campaign recognized Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Arizona in 2012 for its work with LGBT foster and adoptive families, with the All Children All Families seal. Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Arizona was the first organization in Arizona to receive this honor.

What is Devereux doing to support and protect the health and safety of our staff during the COVID-19 pandemic?

At Devereux, nothing is more important than the health and safety of our clients, staff and families. All Devereux centers have formal infectious-disease and emergency-management plans tailored to specifically address the unique aspects of COVID-19 prevention. In accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization, just a few of these precautions have included:

  • Establishing enhanced cleaning and disinfection across all campuses and sites
  • Implementing social distancing protocols across all programs
  • Using PPE, including masks, gloves and gowns as indicated by the CDC
  • Ensuring daily temperature and symptom screenings for all staff and clients

Throughout the pandemic, Devereux has also supported the physical and financial health of our dedicated team members - our very own Healthcare Heroes. A variety of options have been implemented over time to support our staff, including the provision of:

  • Ongoing dedication bonuses, as well as sign-on bonuses, for direct support professionals (DSP) and other staff members
  • Flexible schedules, remote working where possible, and redeployment between programs and services
  • Hazard pay for those supporting quarantined individuals and shelter away services to frontline staff, when needed, to mitigate spread to families
  • Advancing paid time off and sick time; eliminating telemedicine costs over a period of time

Qualifications

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Accounting required, MBA preferred. CPA is a plus!

EXPERIENCE: A combination of five (5) years of work experience in Accounting, Business Administration and Revenue required. Supervisory and leadership experience required. Knowledge of Arizona Behavioral health and child welfare systems preferred.

OTHER:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older (per licensing standards)
  • Valid Arizona Driver's License & pass DMV 39-month history check
  • Current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions (or eligibility to obtain with no restrictions)
  • Pre-employment Physical and Physical Abilities Test (if applicable)
  • Attend new hire orientation for one (1) week; Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm
  • Drug test within 24hrs of offer w/ negative results
  • Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidates understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children
