We're looking for a DYNAMIC DIRECTOR OF HEALTH INFORMATION to join our team!

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the general direction of the Chief Financial Officer, the Health Information Management Director is responsible for the overall operation of the Health Information Management Department inclusive of administrative and technical operation. Utilizing effective planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and controlling mechanisms, the Health Information Management Director ensures that efficient and effective services are provided.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelors degree preferred
  2. Graduate of a professional school in an approved health information management program.
  3. Registered Health Information Technologist (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) certification required. Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) preferred, but not required
  4. Three (3) to five (5) years experience in an acute care setting.
  5. Knowledgeable of current DNV standards, HIPAA regulations, compliance requirements and legal rules and regulations.
  6. Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
