Job Description

At Arizona Tile, we know that our success is a direct result of the talented individuals who support our growing business. As a member of our Human Resources team, you will be involved with all aspects of the Human Resources function:

* Under the support and direction of the Sr. Director of Human Resources manages all human resources functions and acts as a liaison between employees and management.
* Manages and directs the work of members of the human resources team.
* Oversees the Payroll Specialists processing of a bi-weekly payroll and monthly commission payments. With the Payroll Specialist manages other aspects of the payroll related tasks, such as payroll garnishments, PTO, off-cycle payroll runs, 401k reconciliation, HSA reconciliation, benefit invoice reconciliation.
* Assists with the management of the Human Capital Management System (iSolved). Must have experience with the implementation and upgrading of Human Capital Management Systems.
* Acts as the Companys 401 (k) subject matter expert. With the assistance of the Sr. Director of Human Resources, the financial advisor, Ownership, and outside counsel is responsible for the administration of the 401 (k) plan. Participates on the Companys 401 (k) Committee.
* Responsible for full circle benefit administration. This includes studying and assessing benefit needs and trends, participates on a committee in the annual employee benefit selections, executes the annual benefit open enrollment, manages qualifying event data, oversees COBRA administration, etc.
* Contributes to workers compensation administration (quarterly broker meetings, return to work, reasonable accommodations, leaves of absences, audits, etc. )
* Oversees the Companys leave of absence process and ensures compliance with related state and federal laws.
Interacts and responds to governmental agencies regarding inquiries of employee data (EDD, IRS, FTB etc.)
* Creates and updates Standard Operating Procedures for Human Resources and Payroll functions.
* Maintains multi-state Employee Handbook up to date with any legislative changes and company policy changes with the input and direction of the Sr. Director of Human Resources and outside counsel.
* Ensures all termination documentation complies as required by labor laws and governing laws.
* Manages new hire onboarding program. (Ensuring I-9 compliance, onboarding paperwork, etc.)
* Assists in the management of the Companys electronic employee files and performs periodic audits to ensure paperwork is in place and compliant with state and federal laws.
* Under the direction of the Sr. Director of Human Resources assists with the management of the progressive discipline and employee grievance process in a timely manner. Which may entail conducting investigations, creation of various communications to employees, and provides advice and counsel to managers regarding the best course of action.
* Manages the annual Performance Appraisal and Merit Increase Cycle.
* Provides support and contributes to Arizona Tiles employee learning & development, and enrichment efforts.
* Establishes a recruiting program: Electronic recruiting, applicant tracking, interviewing candidates, overseeing job offers, conducting exit interviews, etc.
* Manages the needs and objectives of the Company and looks out for its best interest when addressing its human resources needs. While balancing the responsibility to advocate for the Companys employees.
* Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
* Manages a variety of other special projects and tasks as needed.

Job Requirements:

* A minimum of a Bachelors degree in Human Resources is required. But degrees in Business Administration, or Finance, or Accounting will be considered with the applicable work history and skills.
* PHR or SPHR certified is desired.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and though not mandatory an ability to communicate verbally in Spanish would be a plus.
* Must be able to pro-actively remain apprised and up to date on federal and local state laws.
* Minimum of 5 -7 years of human resources management, as a decision maker, in a muti- unit environment in multiple states.
* Minimum of 5 -7 years of previous experience processing payroll for 800+ employees is required.
* Minimum of 5 -7 years of experience with 401(k) and benefit administration.
* Minimum of 5-7 years of experience with the management of multi-state employee relations of 800+ employees. Which includes a knowledge of the best practices of hiring and terminations and a thorough understanding of the legal requirements.

* Must have a strong Knowledge of multi-state human resources human resources and payroll practices (CA, AZ, NV, WA, OR, ID, CO, TX, UT and NM).
* Must have a thorough working knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws where the Company operates.
* Must be able to deliver effective results, meet tight deadlines and works in minimal supervision.
* Must be able to cultivate and manage relationships with internal customers, vendors, brokers, etc.
* Must possess the ability to manage projects and changing deadlines.
* Must be able to demonstrate good judgement and decision-making skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality and manage privileged information.
* Must be able to effectively manage tough conversations and conflict while remaining professional, respectful, and in command.
* Must be able to accept and understand the Companys culture and structure.
* Must have a professional demeanor and presentation (e.g., telephone conversations, emails, virtual discussions, in person, etc.)
* Must demonstrate exemplary conduct and set a positive example as a servant leader.
* Must have the ability to adapt and handle a changing work environment while completing essential job duties and functions.
* Must have the ability to interact professionally with all levels of employees.
* Must be a self-starter who enjoys working in a collaborative and supportive team environment.
* Must have expert proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.)

Work Environment :
* Works at Arizona Tiles corporate headquarters in Tempe, Arizona (Priest/Warner) in an office environment from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
* There is no opportunity for telecommuting because of the companys strong commitment to customer service.
* The offices are aesthetically exceptional since the Company is in the design industry.
* It is a business casual environment.
* This is a salaried-exempt position with a salary range of $140,000 to $160,000 annually, depending on experience.
