Pay Range

$54. 11 - $76.43/hr

Job SummaryThis position is a key leadership position within the organization with responsibility for the entireDiagnostic Imaging Department, including Echocardiography, MRI, 64 slice Ct, mammography, andcardiovascular/cardiac diagnostics. An employee in this position manages all areas, with working DIcoordinators and modality team leaders, and through them, manages all the professional and supportstaff. Responsible for the successful improvement of services as evidenced by growing market share.

Job Responsibilities

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

Assesses and tracks patients to ensure they receive the appropriate level of care at theappropriate point on the continuum. Determine where integration efforts will be mosteffective, including identifying areas for improving processes and systems. Communicationcollaboratively to all customer groups to ensure that processes and systems used in theimaging department are thoroughly understood

Manages employees through a team approach - fostering a collaborative effort acrossmodalities

Establishes performance goals, allocated resources, and assesses policies of ongoing

exceptional services

Trains new staff in proper care of patients to maintain conscientious, caring atmosphere forcustomers.

Develops and maintains a close working relationship with physicians, and provides them withappropriate follow-up regarding any changes, problems, or incidents that involve them or theirpatients

Ensures high satisfaction with internal and external customers, physicians, and employees.

FINANCAIL ACUMEN

Prepares and submits capital budget requests that meet the objects of the strategic andtactical business plans. Additionally, implements cost efficient strategies within each serviceunit. Utilizes a thorough understanding of financial concepts and guidelines in managing theentire Clinical Service as an enterprise.

Proactively completes productivity and monthly budget variance action plans with inestablished timeframes.

Ensures operating budget of the department, including determining optimal staffing levels andspace; controls and evaluates departmental performance against budget

PROCESS IMPROVEMENT

Maintains ongoing analysis of Clinical Service Performance and monitors trends andopportunities. Initiates and recommends service improvements to meet changing marketneedsUnderstand project management procedure and completes projects according to agreed uponprocess and tools.Initiates and recommends service improvements to meet changing market needsCreates a vision for the service lines within the Imaging DepartmentEstablishes performance goals, allocates resources, and provides leadership support to achievequality care, service and financial goals alignment with the hospitals vision and mission.

EDUCATIONMentors and coaches leaders and team members in better understanding their roles inproviding care, improving systems they own to include operational detailed development plansthat address personal improvement of competencies need to be successful as a care giver andteam memberProvides internal and external guidance for the unit leaders as they determine ways to improvetheir processes and systems by accessing networks of resources. Maintains professionalgrowth and staff development through continuing education and where applicable,professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.Consults with medical, nursing and administrative staff on a regular basis to coordinate thehighest quality of patient care. Participates in hospital/medical staff committee meetings asrequired. Attends and serves on professional/civic service organizations as hospitalrepresentative

Minimum Experience Requirements

3 years of experience in a leadership role.

Demonstrated leadership ability, with strong business and strategic planning skills.

License/Certifications Requirements

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists

Education Requirements

Bachelors degree, approved School of Radiologic Technologist require
