Job Description Summary

As a Director of IT Support working for Taylor Morrison you will oversee all IT Support initiatives across the organization. you will lead a team of technical support professionals, ensuring all IT issues across the company are resolved in accordance with the Taylor Morrison SLA and in the spirit of TMs Love the Customer culture.

We trust that as an IT - Director of Support you will: (responsibilities)

  • Create a vision, strategy and planning for the IT Support Team that furthers organizational objectives
  • Plan, develop and direct the operation of IT Support and internal Customer Care
  • Explaining the vision and strategy to the CIO, business managers and corporate leaders
  • Building relationships with external experts and other advanced IT organizations to maintain knowledge of technology advancements and trends and fostering connections with all TM leaders, departments, and users
  • Champion the internal Love the Customer culture
  • Explaining and implementing business goals and SLAs to the IT Support team
  • Set policies, procedures, technical standards, and priorities to continuously improve the internal customer experience
  • Overseeing the managers of initiatives and allocating staff and resources for them
  • You are willing to perform other duties as assigned

About you:

  • 5 years of related customer care or call center experience
  • 5 years of experience leading teams
  • Ability to think strategically and implement solutions
  • Ability to recruit and retain support talent
  • Ability to define metrics for customer support initiatives that align with business goals

FLSA Status: Exempt

Will have responsibilities such as:

  • Interviewing, selecting, and training employees
  • Setting rates of pay and hours of work
  • Appraising productivity; handling employee grievances or complaints, or disciplining employees
  • Determining work techniques
  • Planning the work
  • Apportioning work among employees
  • Determining the types of equipment to be used in performing work, or materials needed
  • Planning budgets for work
  • Monitoring work for legal or regulatory compliance
  • Providing for safety and security of the workplace

Essential Functions:

  • Report to Division/Corporate Office/Community daily and adhere to schedule
  • Ability to oversee direct reports daily and provide guidance as needed
  • Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer and/or electronic device
  • Ability to have face to face conversations with customers, co-workers and higher level manager
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time and move around work environment as needed
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle
  • Comply with company policies and procedure

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
  • The ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

*Taylor Morrison experience and/or successful completion of training program may override required education and/or experience requirement.
