Director of Social Services and Behavioral Health
Job Description
The Director, Social Services is responsible for the daily oversight of social work and behavioral health programming for the Intensive Outpatient Program and Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit.
This Director also oversees and provides clinical supportive supervision within the scope of practice to the inpatient and outpatient Social Services providers of the department. As an organization leader, this position shares accountability for facilitating organizational and department goals using effective leadership knowledge, skills, and abilities that ensure achievement of expected results for patient/customer service, employment engagement, financial health, business growth and quality/safety outcomes.
Education
Required: Masters degree in Social Work (MSW), counseling, or marriage & family therapy.
Experience
Required: Five (5) years working in the behavioral health field, with one year of acute psychiatric and/or intensive outpatient program management or supervision. In addition a minimum of 3 years clinical social work/supervisory experience required.
Licenses/Certifications
Required: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required; American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) BLS, Handle With Care (HWC) certification required within 30 days of start date.
