Quality/Risk Director
This position leads the Quality and Risk efforts and is accountable for the oversight and facilitation of methods which promote the identification and continuous improvement of those activities and processes which significantly impact the quality of health care services provided by Mountain Point Medical Center. Responsibilities include the development and implementation of mechanisms for data collection, information dissemination and report preparation for Medical Staff and Clinical Service Line meetings. Oversees and Policies & Procedures) to ensure that documents and policies are maintained within corporate policy and as part of the quality management system.
Facilitates process improvement by continuously educating staff on the collection/aggregation/analysis/follow up of data pertinent to their specific departments as well as the hospital and identified issues. Oversight of quality functions related to all accrediting, regulating, licensing and governmental standards. Responsible for coordinating all aspects of the risk management program, including the identification, evaluation and treatment of risk in the facility. Develops and manages a systematic process to identify, assess, and treat actual and potential exposures to loss.
Performs all duties in a manner that promotes and supports the Standards of Conduct for Steward Health Care. Demonstrates support of the Medical Centers mission, values and vision in all actions and interactions with employees, patients, medical staff, guests and visitors.

Requirements:

  • Must have Bachelor Degree in nursing
  • Must have supervisory experience
  • Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Utah.
  • Experience and knowledge in the areas of quality management and statistical measurement methodologies, licensure and accreditation regulations, and risk management.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written
  • Basic to moderate level of computer skills, including word, spreadsheets and email
