The Director of RN Residency Programs is a registered professional nurse who provides strategic, enterprise-wide leadership for the administration, planning and implementation of nursing residency education and strategic nursing workforce planning. The director ensures that all nurse residency education offerings and course curricula are evidence based, meet regulatory requirements, reference appropriate professional standards of practice, and are in alignment with current and future workforce demands. The incumbent is accountable to lead initiatives that foster talent mobility to drive toward organizational objectives to enhance engagement, improve retention, and decrease contract labor utilization. Collaborate with system leaders/stakeholders, educators and advanced practice professionals to create a Newly Licensed Registered Nurse (NLRN) and Specialty care educational infrastructure to improve operational efficiencies and organizational objectives. The director is a strategic partner to the business and leads efforts in determining and influencing the organization's nursing workforce talent needs. Serve as a strategic collaborative partner to nursing leadership, workforce planning, talent development, and talent acquisition teams.

What You Bring/Job Requirements

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

  • Master's Degree Required.
  • Current Colorado RN license/ Current RN license from a participating state in National Licensure Compact Required.
  • Specialty certification in area of practice preferred (i.e. professional development) preferred.
  • 3 years clinical nursing, education/staff development experience and/or academic instruction
  • Demonstrates expertise in leading large-scale projects and develop programs based on data analytics
  • Problem analysis and project management
  • Excellent public speaking skills and verbal/written communication skills are mandatory
  • Ability to manage ambiguity with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and exercise influence in a complex environment.
