Distribution & Collection Systems Maintenance Foreman - Water Utilities

The South Adams County Water and Sanitation District is dedicated to providing affordable, sustainable water resources including quality water, wastewater and related services to our customers in a manner that promotes public health, safety and quality of life. We are looking for a foreman for our Maintenance department.

This working foreman position performs:

• Preventative and unplanned work on maintenance projects
• Repair, replacement, and construction on water distribution, irrigation and wastewater collection systems
• Schedule, oversee and supervise personnel on projects and daily activities
• Provide direction and training to new maintenance crew members
• Respond to maintenance emergencies.

Qualified candidates should have a High School Diploma OR equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid, current Colorado Drivers License required, CDL preferred.

A minimum of (8) years of maintenance experience in water or wastewater utilities or related field is necessary. Lead or supervisory experience helpful. Colorado Distribution and Collection System Certifications, level 4, required. Solid knowledge in use of hand and power tools, heavy equipment, electrical, mechanical and plumbing practices, and equipment troubleshooting.

Proficient computer skills including knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook. Solid problem solving and communication skills required. Solid ability to adapt to changing priorities, procedures, conditions and circumstances.

This position requires work in a variety of locations and conditions. Ability to lift up to 60 lbs frequently is necessary.

Salary range: 26.29/hr - 39.42/hr
