District Receptionist
Job Description
Salary Placement: $16.24 to $17.72 per hour.
To meet the mission of inspiring all students to academic achievement, the Emerson Court District Office must be an effective and efficiently run first point of contact for community members, and hub of communication and information for all departments across the District. Serving as the face and voice of the District, this position requires performance of clerical assignments for the Emerson Court facility, including exhibiting exemplary customer service skills when answering District phone lines, greeting and directing visitors, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere at the Emerson Court District Office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages front office operations and logistics
- Supports the Director of Marketing Communications with a variety of tasks related to communicating with District Community in a responsive, respectful, and efficient manner
- Provides exemplary customer service to visitors of Emerson Court facility
- Collaborates with other clerical personnel to ensure smooth operations and logistics
- Perform a variety of routine clerical duties including making appointments, word processing, checking, proofreading, recording confidential information on records, filing, preparing, assembling, and distributing materials.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: A High School diploma or equivalent |
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bilingual in English/Spanish. Two or more years of school or district front office experience Record of success with customer service |

The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud and can vary in temperature. The nature of this position is fast-paced and may occasionally be thought of as stressful. Through interaction with the public and other district employees, the employee may encounter different scents.
