Supervisor, Referraland Donor Screening Services:
The Referral and Donor Screening Supervisor assists the Referral and DonorScreening Manager in the applicable day-to-day operations of the Referral andDonor Screening Services Department. The Supervisor shall assist in thedaily supervision, training and performance evaluation of all staff within theReferral and Donor Services Department. This position shall coordinatethe departments continuing education and training program for all RDSS staffmembers. The Supervisor shall compile, analyze and report on thedepartments statistical data results. This position shall alsocoordinate and assist the RDSS staff as needed with performing their jobduties. Responsibilities are to be carried out in a manner that reflectsDNAs comprehensive/full-service approach to donation by participating andcooperating with other department supervisors. Performs other duties asrequested.
Job Duties:
Supervises the day to day operations of the Referral and Donor ScreeningServices Department.
Coordinates continuing education, training and skill development of all RDSSstaff to comply with AATB, EBAA, FDA and other regulatory agencies.
With the assistance of the Quality Control Lead, monitors the departmentsperformance by conducting an analysis of all RDSS department activity.
Performs the responsibilities of each department position and activelyparticipates in the on-call rotation of all Coordinators, as needed.
Works closely with the Organ Recovery department to ensure timely andappropriate communication of all HBV and Import referrals.
Interacts with Donor Program Development staff by informing them of anyhospital referral issues and ensures that the information being communicated isappropriate and accurate.
Interacts with the Directors/Managers of other departments as needed.
Maintains knowledge of donation process
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree and or certification, licensure/registration, surgicaltechnician, EMT-P, LPN, RT, previous OPO or industry related experience, orprevious organ allocation/referral intake experience. MUST be available foron-call shifts, in addition to regular shifts.
1to 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role
Ability to perform Donor Support Coordinator role
Working knowledge of biological sciences
Working knowledge of medical terminology
