Job Description
We are looking for a driver to transport residents to and from the facility for physician appointments, new admit pickups and personal outings as needed. As a driver you must have a safe driving record, follow all state and national driving laws, rules, and regulations. The driver is responsible for assisting with loading and unloading of residents and requires an individual that is compassionate, understanding and outgoing to give our residents the best transport experience possible. You will also maintain vehicle upkeep and cleanliness and assist with carrying of items needed during the transport.
Duties and Responsibilities
Transport residents from facility to physician appointments, new admit pickups and personal outings.
Assist residents in and out of vehicle.
Physically maneuver wheelchair residents up and down ramp or automatic lift;
Secure wheelchair residents in vehicle.
Be punctual in attendance and maintain timing schedules.
Keep operation records and make simple reports.
Maintain regular checks of the vehicle and report malfunctions to management as soon as possible, assures regular maintenance of vehicle.
Provide outstanding customer service in transporting of residents.
Secure and lock vehicle.
Flexibility in transport schedule, including nights and weekends as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications
Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Standing for short periods of time.
Ability to lift, lower, push, pull and retrieve objects weighing a minimum of 30 lbs frequently, sometimes up to 200 pounds or more.
Must be able to climb, stoop, kneel, bend, stretch and reach frequently.
Required Education, Experience, and Training
High school diploma/GED.
Obtain and maintain appropriate Arizona Drivers license.
One year experience in transportation preferred.
Or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered in meeting the minimum qualifications.
SPECIAL JOB REQUIREMENT(S)
Safety-sensitive position pursuant to A.R.S. 23-493.
Mandated federal, state, and local communicable disease testing as required.
Obtain and maintain AZ drivers license, CPR certification, AZ DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card, and tuberculosis test.
Provide driving record from Arizona Department of Motor Vehicles at employees expense.

Schedule
This is a part time position in a health care facility that is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This position works primarily daytime hours, Monday through Friday; however, some holidays, evenings and weekends may be necessary on occasion.
