The Salvation Army Laura Danieli Senior Center is looking to fill a Driver/Kitchen Helper position. The successful candidate for this position will be able to multi task and work effectively in a team environment while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information. This position is benefit eligible and comes with vacation, sick, health, vision, life insurance, free Kroc membership and more.  

The Driver/Kitchen Helper will perform the duties of home delivered meal driver for the LDSAC, delivering meals in accordance with Area Agency requirements in a timely manner and acquiring signatures as necessary. This position will transport senior program participants to various markets according to schedule. This employee will conduct safety inspections of vehicles on a daily basis and help create a maintenance schedule for all vehicles and arrange for their maintenance while maintaining the cleanliness of the vehicles. This person will also help kitchen staff in packaging the meals for home delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a Valid Arizona Driver’s License and be at least 21 years of age
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Food Handlers Permit
  • Successful Background Check and Fingerprint Clearance Card Required
  • Must pass online Salvation Army Drivers Safety Course
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Must be able to multi-task and work effectively in a team environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Qualified individuals must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to operate telephone, a desktop or laptop computer, as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer, and to understand written information.
