    Summary:
    The Early Connections (EC) Assistant Supervisor provides direct supervision of children including assisting in planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate, play based child care program while following Colorado Department of Human Services Child Care Center Rules and Regulations. Responsible for the opening or closing of the childcare program daily, including direct communication with parents about student progress.

    Responsibilities:
    -Assist in planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate, play based program
    -Engage students in enrichment topics based on student interest
    -Ensure the safety of children
    -Responsible for the opening or closing of the child care program daily
    -Assist in maintaining compliance with licensing guidelines set by the Colorado Department of Human Services, local County Health Department and School District policies and procedures.
    -Participate in trainings, workshops, in-services, professional learning community meetings for ongoing learning
    -Maintain confidentiality and a high level of ethical behavior and professionalism
    -Create positive working relationships with school personnel, parents, and community.
    -Utilize computer and software applications (Google) for daily classroom operations
    -Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:
    Required:
    -Must meet or exceed the education and experience requirements for Early Childhood Teacher as established by the Colorado Department of Human Services. Review the Early Childhood Teacher qualifications to determine how you qualify for this position as there are several ways to qualify. The documentation needs to be uploaded to the online application, not just on a resume, to be considered for interviews.
    -Minimum of one year experience in: Early Childhood/K-2
    -General knowledge in Early Childhood Education and best practices including childrens physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development as well as children with special needs
    -Knowledge and skills in classroom management tools, including supporting children with special needs
    -Ability to communicate orally and written, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with all people including those from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds
    -General knowledge of the State of Colorado Child Care Licensing rules and regulations and county health department guidelines
    -Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions
    -Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job
    -Must be able to lift 50 pounds, diaper, feed; complete other delegated nursing and health care duties for infants and toddlers.
    -Technology and computer proficiency in multiple software applications(Google)

    Preferred:
    -Minimum of one year experience in an Early Childhood setting
    -Minimum of six months experience in alicensed child care program
    -Current CPR/First Aid Certification
