Earthwork Foreman

Minimum Hiring Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years overseeing multi-phase earthwork projects.
- Must have a valid Florida Driver License and Social Security Card.
- Applicants must also provide three current references, and previous work history information.
- Oversee/maintain job site safety per OSHA standards OSHA certificate a plus.
- Able to work adjusted shifts. (AM or PM)
- Able to work overtime.
- Earthwork Foreman must have knowledge and experience in all phases of earthwork services.
- Manage and perform mass grading and excavation, subgrade preparation, road, and parking lot construction.
- Must be able to read plans & Shop Drawings.
- Calculate & shoot all elevations as required. TBM provided.
- Have good communication skills & Leadership skills.
- Must be able to do detailed material take-offs.
- Pre-planning is a must.
- Coordinate construction activities on large earth moving projects.
- Inspect construction work as necessary and ensure compliance with quality requirements and standards.
- Be self-motivated and work productively. Motivate crews properly.
- Must be reliable and dependable.
- Examine/inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost saving measures that arise or that may be encountered. Take corrective actions as needed.
- Prior experience successfully managing mass earthwork and grading.
- Complete, compile, oversee and submit various paperwork related to safety, equipment, etc.
- Must be able to work in a safety-conscious manner.
- Develop a complete understanding of the contract plans and specifications, lay-out, installation and/or construction. Review with Superintendent at the start of and throughout the project.
- Supervise a minimum of 6 employees.
- All applicants will be subject to a criminal background check, motor vehicle report and a pre-employment drug screening.
- Be Permitted to work in the United States. (per Federal Law)
