Position Summary |
The UNM Early Childhood Services Center (ECSC), seekscandidates for Education Consultant tosupport the Statewide Early Childhood Education & Care Department(ECECD) Comprehensive Early Learning and Consultation initiative. Eleven(11) positions will be based out of various regions of the state (Roswellregion, Espanola region, Albuquerque region, and Las Cruces region) andpreferred candidates must be able to read, write, and speak in bothEnglish and Spanish. Usingthe Integrated Learning Approach, Education Consultantsutilize practice-based coaching and are responsible for providingon-site/virtual technical assistance, coaching, and training related to earlychildhood and criteria content knowledge as a form of professional developmentthat positively influences the quality of learning experiences that educators,administrators, and children receive as they participate in state funded earlychildhood initiatives. This is a term position subject to continuous employment renewedannually - Term end date is subject to change based on annual funding. NOTE: In accordance with the State of New Mexico Early ChildhoodEducation and Care Department, the minimum education requirement is aBachelors Degree in Early Care and Education or related degree, including atleast twenty-one semester hours of core early childhood education courses. Minimum Qualifications |
Bachelor's degree; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
