Position Summary

The UNM Transportation Safety Center (TSC) has an opportunity for a full-time Education Support Coordinator. Under general supervision, the Education Support Coordinator will:

  • Provide administrative assistance to program manager and staff to include conducting application references, quality assurance telephone calls, preparation of criminal background and MVD checks; preparation of certificates and other miscellaneous administrative tasks.
  • Coordinate activities of support staff, consultants and/volunteers engaged in implementation and administration of program objectives.
  • Prepare and fill all driver education school material and supply orders, including responsibility for mail and package processing, incoming and outgoing.
  • Collect and analyze data; prepare scheduled and special reports for program manager.
  • Create, type and edit program correspondence, purchasing documents, reports, program handbooks, and other program related documents.
  • Must have reliable daily transportation in order to travel to other relevant community venues as required in support of program activities.

Conditions of Employment
Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

? Experience working with governing state agencies (Traffic Safety, Court system, Motor Vehicle Division, and/or Taxation and Revenue Department)

? Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office products.

? Able to work with databases and website platforms.

? Experience with working with the public and ability to work successfully in a fast-paced working environment with deadlines
