Grand Canyon Education (GCE) is an educational service company that provides an array of support services in the post-secondary education sector. Formerly part of Grand Canyon University (GCU), GCE still supports and works closely with GCU. GCE designs and develops educational programs for GCU and other traditional campus institutions, as well as online partner institutions at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels.

Grand Canyon Education is seeking a Educational Development - Special Projects Administrative Coordinator. This position is responsible for assisting with coordinating activities, functions, tasks, and process for K12 Educational Development and Special Projects. The tasks will vary in complexity to ensure that goals and objectives are met. The nonexempt-level Coordinator I position is administrative in nature and typically works with supervision to follow the standard operational guidelines. The nonexempt coordinator I provides input in contracts and budgets but does not have final authority on these activities.

Responsibilities:

  • With supervision, partner, collaborate, and communicate with various internal and external contacts, or customers, to coordinate activities, promote and encourage cooperation of submission or collection of information/data, products or services or process improvement.
  • Assist with managing the flow of activities and acts as liaison to all others involved in the department
  • Input and maintain data into various software applications such as MS Excel, internal databases, expense accounting, procurement, MS Access, websites, social media or conference scheduling software.
  • Work with internal and external personnel to assist with the effective delivery of professional development services to schools, districts, and educational organizations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in a related discipline (business, education, social science, etc.) from a regionally accredited institution.
  • 2 years administrative professional work experience.
  • An equivalent combination of directly related work experience and education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved may be substituted upon supervisors approval.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment background check.
  • Computer, telephone and electronic office equipment experience including: MS Office Suite, Adobe pro, and CRM
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the Universitys Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
