Odessa Regional Medical Center was founded in 1975 as Odessa Womens and Childrens Hospital. Through the years, the hospital grew and evolved into a full-service healthcare facility and the name was changed to Odessa Regional Medical Center to reflect its larger campus and more comprehensive services. The hospital has 225 beds and has approximately 250 physicians on staff and has over 700 employees.

About the Shift:

Part Time Maternal Educator

About the Position:

Assists in providing input into overall planning, direction, and coordination for the Education Department; this includes staff education and patient education. Consults with clinical educators, staff, physicians and Nurse Executive on the organizations educational requirements to ensure patient and staff needs are met. Provides service to ages from neonate to geriatric. Other duties as assigned.

Regulatory Requirements:

• Current state Registered Nurse license.
• Bachelors Degree in Nursing
• A minimum 5 years recent hospital bedside experience, required
• 3 Leadership experience preferred (charge nurse, lead nurse, etc.)
• Preferred Critical Care ER experience
• Certifications as indicated by the Steward Certification document.
