Electrician / Generator Technician

This is skilled work at the journeyman level regarding the installation, alteration, maintenance and repair of electrical systems, equipment, fixtures and all Seminole Tribe of Florida's residential and commercial generator systems. The individual monitors and maintains inventory, orders parts, equipment and fluids. Enters and updates information related to work orders assigned from start to finish in to the asset management database. The incumbent is also responsible for distributing fuel to residents in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining public safety. High School diploma or equivalent GED is required. Prior vocational training or job-related coursework is preferred, or, completion of an instructional program that prepares individuals to apply technical electrical knowledge and skills is preferred. A minimum of three (3) years of experience as in the repair and maintenance of generator equipment and/or uninterrupted power supply systems is required. Licensed Electrician is preferred. Must possess a valid Florida Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with a HAZMAT Endorsement or have the ability to obtain the license within nine (9) months of employment. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to travel to all Reservations and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
