Emergency Medical Tech ED

This position is subject to the COVID-19 Vaccination Policy for Steward Health Care Workforce. Employees in this position will be required to provide adequate proof of vaccination for COVID-19 by an FDA-approved vaccine prior to starting work. POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the general supervision of the Emergency Department Clinical Operations Manager and the direct supervision of the Charge Nurse, the Emergency Department Technician, provide a variety of patient care activities and accommodative services for assigned patients.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• EMT Basic or greater with documented competency in providing basic medical care in accordance with competency inventory preferred.
• Current BLS.
• Previous experience in hospital/nursing home patient care setting preferred.
