Job Description:

Under the leadership of the department director, assistant director, nursing supervisor, and/or charge nurse, the Emergency Services Technician is responsible and accountable for delivering direct nursing care to all patient populations according to the policies and procedures of the hospital, Emergency Department and Clinical Decision Unit. Care provided is under the direct supervision of an RN. Important dimensions of this position consist of quality of care, professional commitment, teamwork, interpersonal skills, safety, and good public/customer relations.

Experience:

One year (in the last 2 years) of experienced preferred in acute hospital or long term care setting.

Education:

High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Current CNA or EMT Certification and knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification is required. Assault crisis training must be completed within the first 6 months of hire.

Varied 12-hour shifts; 6:45a.m.-7:15 p.m.,11a.m. -11:30 p.m., 12 p.m.-12:30 a.m., 3:00 p.m. -3:30 a.m., 6:45 p.m.-7:15 a.m. This is not a full or part time position.
