Position Summary
Plans, coordinates and implements all activities of Employee Health Services within applicable scope and standards of practice. Collaborates with all departments, managers, supervisors and/or employees to execute well-defined Employee Health Services.
Essential Duties
- Coordinates all clinical aspects of Employee Health services including assessment and treatment of employee injuries/illnesses, post-offer screening, occupational testing and surveillance programs.
- Maintains summaries and reports required for employee annual updates and notifications of upcoming mandatory follow up visits.
- Conducts surveillance and follow-up of employee exposures to communicable diseases.
- Provides employee health services such as post-offer health screenings, supports additional department programs including Workers Compensation, occupational health, wellness and HR entities.
- Administers immunizations, TB skin tests and new hire health screens and assures that employees risks are correctly assessed and the proper safety measures are taken.
- Provides triage for on-the-job injuries. Cooperates with safety in the investigation, monitoring, tracking and follow-up of employee injuries and health and safety issues in the work environment.
- Functions as an employee health resource and be involved with teaching, counseling and participation in presentations. Provides worker education about hazards, safe work practices, MSDS and Bloodborne Pathogen Program.
- Reviews and approves requests for ergonomic assessments to identify existing hazards and conditions, operations that create hazards and areas in which hazards can develop.
- Responsible for tracking and interpreting data flu reports, injury reports, root cause analyst, and other reports as needed.
- In collaboration with Employee Health Specialist and Infection Prevention develops occupational health and safety policies consistent with OSHA, NIOSH, ACGIH, JCAHO and other statues.

Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors in Nursing or Graduation from an Accredited School of Nursing required.
- Work Experience: A minimum of 2 years of recent and relevant clinical nursing experience required. A minimum of one year in occupational health nursing required.
- Special Training, Certification or Licensure: Colorado RN license. COHN or COHN-S preferred. Active BLS.
