Engineering Technician - R&D
Job Description
Technician role is to support the R&D group in all phases of Development activities.
- Development activities encompass activities of cell and battery systems that include but are not limited to:
- design concept, process approach and refinement,
- materials research and refinement,
- equipment research and refinement,
- materials and equipment requisitions,
- equipment installation and operation,
- assembly and testing of engineering development units including analysis and destructive physical analysis.
- Technician will be required to work with engineering tools such as:
- mechanical mixers and coaters,
- measurement devices,
- microscopes,
- viscosity meters,
- moisture analyzers
- various test equipment as directed.
- U.S. Citizen
- Associates degree or equivalent training and experience preferred
- Minimum five years experience with EPT battery systems preferred
- Detail oriented
- Basic computer skills (Excel, Word , Outlook and PowerPoint)
- Able to follow schedules
- Computer Drafting skills a plus
- Basic chemistry knowledge a plus
- Basic Electronic knowledge a plus
- Strong communication skills; able to communicate well and train others as needed
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Strong team player; able to interface with a variety of groups
- Good dexterity
- Excellent record of attendance and reliability
