POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision and/or direction of the Registered Nurse, the Emergency Technician performs various direct patient care activities in accordance with the Emergency Department policies and procedures. The Emergency Technician can assist with the care of hospitalized patients. The Emergency Technician may be assigned other functions in accordance with hospital/department policies, procedures, and protocols.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School graduate or equivalent with documented competency in providing basic nursing care in accordance with skills list.
- Documentation of competency in providing basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
- Previous experience in hospital/nursing home patient care setting preferred
